The Government of Korea announced that, after the 2 rounds of additional KORUS FTA talks, the both parties have agreed as following.     ① Both parties added obligations to adopt and implement 7 multilateral environmental agreements, and introduced the system for settling general disputes arisen from violation of the obligations.   ② Neither party shall waive or derogate from, in a manner affecting trade or investment between the parties, environmental laws in a manner that weakens protection.   ③ For the violation of the obligations in Environment Chapter, general dispute settlement system, the same as other FTA areas, shall be applied.   The Korea Government expects that the dadditional talks would contribute to enhance level of environmental protection and reduction of environmental problems that may arise from the expansion of trade and investment thanks to KORUS FTA
