For the first time in Korea, “Tab Water Quality Report” is to be published and distributed to citizens in July.

The Ministry of Environment announced, on June 28^th, that it would publish “Tab Water Quality Report” which includes tab water processing, result of water analysis, how to drink tab water and etc. This report will be distributed to the citizens by the end of July, the Ministry added.

In accordance with the relevant law, local government should provide citizens with the report at least once a year via ground mail or electronic media. The form of the report is 3 to 5 pages leaflets and the content should be written in plain language to facilitate the understanding of the citizens.

The Ministry expressed that, “the distribution of Tab Water Quality Report, with comprehensive information about the tab water quality, is expected to contribute to reduction of distrust on tab water, enhancement of tab water quality, and securement of trust on water service.”
